Saturday Morning, 10:10am……
Well I did say I’d be popping by occasionally! It’s been a very busy fortnight! Ironically, I’ve picked up a new student, right about the time I was discontinuing the teaching! An enthusiastic beginner has forced me from semi-retirement, first lesson is on Monday evening!
The country is covered in show again, it started on Thursday evening and pretty much hasn’t stopped since, which is weird considering it’s easter next weekend! This puts paid to any ideas of outdoor activities today, except for sledging and chucking snowballs around of course, but does mean we can continue with painting the kitchen, which is ‘progressing’. The all important ‘feature wall’ is finished, just the secondary walls to do now! My brother was supposed to be visiting but the roads are pretty bad at the moment so he thought better of it!
The bike has had a complete service and rebuild, due to two years of abuse and lack of maintenance by me! Pretty much every moving part has been replaced, which cost a fair bit, but it works like a dream now, well, it will do once the snow has abated! I blame the consistently cold weather and terrible road surfaces in this city for most of it anyway!
There’s lots of other things going on, but I’ll keep that under wraps for now. The less you know, the less danger you’re in! It’s the youngest son‘s 7th birthday next week, so we’ll be preparing for birthday parties and Easter. Good times! Have a good week y’all! It’s 4 weeks until the London Marathon, and this snow is not helping my training programme!
P.S. I have found a new guitar practise slot, 6am to 6:20am, once the morning chores are done, before everyone gets up, magic! You heard it here first ;-)
